Natural skin care protects the skin without any assistance from synthetic materials or chemicals. Natural skin care is the mix of ingredients from nature to help you lead your day to day life naturally. A lot of natural skin care measures are the same as those for body care in general.
Let’s see what these natural skin care standards are.
So, you think that just applying natural products on your skin did the job and now you just have to wait for magic to happen. You are waiting for that smooth, beautiful, young looking skin to appear the next day. Sorry to tell you, that is not going to happen. Natural skin care will work if you are willing to use a complete treatment.
The first and the foremost natural skin care standard is to– drink a lot of water. Drinking eight glasses of water per day is a must for a healthy body. Water helps flush out the toxins from the body in a natural way. It helps in the overall protection of the body and promotes good health for all organs in the body, not just skin.
Cleansing your skin daily, wearing clean clothes and sleeping on a clean mattress/pillow are all necessary parts of natural skin care. After all, clean skin is the key to keeping skin disorders at bay.
Regular exercise is the next thing on the list. Exercise increases the flow of blood that helps us get rid of body toxins and keeps you healthy.
Exercise also helps us beat stress which is one of the worst enemies of good health. When you exercise your body sweats, which helps eliminate all of the toxins in the body. When you sweat, your pores open up and they release any build up inside them. According to experts, “Sweat purges the body of toxins that can clog pores and plague the skin with pimples and blemishes.”
Adding healthy food to your diet is also recommended for natural skin care. Avoid the types of foods that are high in cholesterol, since they make the skin oily and can cause acne. Your diet should be a healthy mix of various nutrient-providing foods. Raw fruits and vegetables are known to provide vitamins, and to your body and they are the best ways to help get rid of body toxins.
A good sleep is also critical in maintaining good health and in beating stress. Another standard for natural skin care is to get a good night’s sleep since this helps delay aging. Just remember a time when you had a good night’s sleep.
When you woke up you felt happy and full of energy. Do you remember the moment you saw yourself in the mirror on that day? I’ll bet you remember how smooth and glowing your skin looked.
Yes, a good night’s sleep is essential for healthy looking skin. Whenever I don't have a good sleep, usually the next day one pimple appears on my face - which I hate!
Reducing stress is another great skin care therapy. Stress causes overall damage to our body and health. Our life is worth living happily. Just try to relax and be happy. I know you must be laughing at me, or kind of saying "Yeah, sure lady, it is easy for you to say, you don't know what kinds of problem I have".
It is true I don't know anything about your life and I cannot imagine what you are going through.
But let me tell you that I had many hard days when I was growing up, and I still do. But even though I feel the pain, I also know that I cannot punish myself for all these difficulties in life.
I accept that these challenges are part of life and I try to learn from them and use them to grow stronger.
When you get stressed, use a warm bubble bath, listen to your favorite music and relax. These are just a few effective ways of beating stress. Yoga is yet another way of beating stress, and it is fast gaining popularity amongst the masses.
Avoid excessive exposure to the sun. Wear sunglasses and never leave the house without putting sunscreen on your skin, especially during the hot seasons.
Last, but not least, use natural and plant-based skin care products. They are designed to soothe your skin without putting your health at risk.
